Accoya Colours Options

Accoya is probably the most stable wood on the market. It is impregnated with a treatment which gives it its fantastic 50 year + life longevity.

Think of the different colour options as a cosmetic treatment.

As standard, we offer Accoya Chesapeake and we keep this in stock, along with Western Red Cedar.

However, Accoya can be treated with many different colours. You can choose any of these colours, but we don’t keep them in stock, we need to order them specially, additionally we need to order a little more, in case of natural imperfections in the wood, which we may need to cut out.

Hence, there’s a cost to this option. Additionally, it takes a minimum of three weeks to receive the wood.

Accoya Autumn Gold

Accoya Peal Grey

Any wood exposed to the sun will over time naturally grey (look at the garden fencing in your vicinity).

Instead of treating the Accoya with a colour you can allow it to grey over time. Accoya is a very light wood, but it can be treated with a sacrificial pearl grey. As the wood starts to grey with age and exposure to the sun the sacrificial treatment fades.
